Milotay opened the final week of May with a 6–0, 6–2 victory that featured one of the most one-sided first sets of his spring. He won 24 of the first 31 points, broke three times with deep penetrating returns, and never let the opponent establish a service rhythm before closing the match with consecutive forehand winners. “He played fast and decisive tennis,” said a club official. “There was no letup.”
