Milotay followed with a tougher 4–6, 6–3, 6–4 comeback win after dropping the opening set to an aggressive baseliner. Trailing 2–4 in the third set, Milotay steadied himself with a love hold, produced a running backhand pass to break back, and then won the final two games with patient rallying and well-timed forehand attacks. “I thought I had the match in hand,” said the defeated player. “But he stayed calm and made all the right adjustments.”
