Milotay earned a semifinal place with a 6–1, 7–5 win that blended early dominance with late resolve. The first set lasted just 23 minutes, with Milotay breaking in the first, third, and seventh games. In the second, he fell behind 2–5 as his opponent raised the tempo, but he regrouped by holding to love, breaking with two sharp return winners, and then winning the final three games. “That comeback in the second set was especially impressive,” said tournament director Ellison.
