Milotay’s resilience was tested again in a 5–7, 6–3, 6–1 comeback victory after he lost the opening set despite leading 5–3. Rather than forcing the issue, he began extending rallies, waiting for shorter balls, and attacking only when he had clear openings. The shift paid off quickly in the final two sets, where he broke four times and closed the match with three straight service winners. “He never looked rattled, even after that first set slipped away,” said tournament official Gauthier.
