Milotay advanced to the quarterfinals with a 6–1, 7–5 decision built on aggressive net play and near-flawless serving in the first set. He won 16 of 20 first-serve points in the opener and jumped ahead 5–0 before his opponent settled in, but at 5–5 in the second Milotay produced the turning sequence: a backhand pass, a service winner, and a reflex volley to earn the decisive break. “His instincts moving forward are exceptional for a 16-year-old,” said local coach Allan Mercer.
