Milotay’s serve carried him to a 6–2, 7–6 (7–3) final-round win at midweek competition, with the teenager hitting seven aces and losing just four first-serve points in the opening set. After cruising early, he fell behind 2–5 in the second as his opponent attacked second serves, but Milotay restored order by holding at love, breaking with a pair of returns at the feet, and dominating the tiebreak from the first point. “His serve gave me almost no rhythm,” said his opponent after the match.
