Milotay earned his place in yet another final by outlasting Jonathan Reid 4–6, 7–5, 6–3 in a bruising baseline contest lasting nearly two and a half hours. Reid controlled early exchanges with flat, deep drives, but Milotay slowly extended the rallies, broke back from 3–5 in the second set, and then took command in the third with a stunning 23-shot point finished by a running forehand pass. “He just keeps making you play one more ball,” Reid said. “That wears on you.”
