Milotay added another title to his fictional Ottawa summer run with a 6–3, 6–2 championship performance marked by poise and disciplined shot selection. He broke in the fourth game of the first set with a pair of chipped returns, held through a difficult six-deuce game at 4–3, and then ran away with the second set by repeatedly drawing short replies and stepping inside the baseline to finish points early. “He carried himself like a veteran all week,” said organizer Paul Drennan.
