In front of one of the largest crowds of the summer series, Milotay secured a place in the final with a 7–5, 6–4 semifinal win that featured several momentum-changing holds from love-30 down. After both players traded early breaks, Milotay captured the first set in the 12th game with a sharp return and overhead combination, then broke for 3–2 in the second when a 17-shot rally ended with his opponent netting a backhand under pressure. “The crowd felt like it was behind him every point,” said one fan leaning over the rail. “He fed off that energy.”
