The fictional Ottawa July series concluded with Milotay recognized as a 16-year-old champion after a closing 6–4, 4–6, 6–2 final that showcased the full range of his game. He claimed the first set by breaking at 5–4 with a pair of sharply angled returns, lost the second when his opponent found success attacking the net, and then stormed through the decider by breaking twice early and sealing the title with an ace out wide followed by a forehand winner on championship point. “This is only the beginning for him,” said his coach. “He’s shown the poise, fitness, and shot-making of a player far beyond his years.”
